EarthRenew (ERTH) has announced a five-year supply agreement with Fertoz, an Australian miner of sedimentary soft rock phosphate.

Pursuant to the agreement, Fertoz will supply EarthRenew with 10,000 mt of rock phosphate 0-20-0 per year sourced from the Fernie, B.C. area. Fertoz will supply approximately 500-1,000 mt monthly beginning this month.

EarthRenew will put the rock phosphate to work in its regenerative product line. The company’s subsidiary, Replenish Nutrients, produces natural fertilizer alternatives to conventional synthetic fertilizers using rock phosphate as a key ingredient.

The companies believe their partnership will benefit Canadian producers by improving access to granulated rock phosphate in Western Canada and providing fertilizer options tailored to individual regions and soil types.

Keith Driver, CEO of EarthRenew, commented,

“We are pleased to announce this long-term supply relationship with Fertoz for high quality rock phosphate, a cornerstone ingredient in our fleet of regenerative soil health products. Including rock phosphate in our products ensures that soils benefit from a natural source of minerals that are highly plant available and act as a necessary building block in the soil. Our customers have come to depend on our flagship products, Sustain and Rebuilder, to turn back the clock on years of nutritional crop depletion.”

Sean Gatin, Fertoz’s VP of Sales, added,

“It has long been Fertoz’s strategy to open and use Canadian mines to supply Canada and focus on Montana and Mexico mines for the U.S. market. These volumes will allow opening and long-term mining of our leases in the Fernie area.”

Fertoz mines for sedimentary soft rock phosphate by excavating selective seams. The company creates its products using less than 15 per cent of the CO2 emissions of typical synthetic phosphate fertilizer operations.

EarthRenew offers regenerative fertilizers as well as power generation services.

EarthRenew (ERTH) is down by 7.14 per cent and is currently trading at $0.26 per share as of 9:30 am ET.
