Drone Delivery Canada (FLT) is now delivering from the Edmonton International Airport.

The project consists of defined-route deliveries to off-airport property utilizing the Sparrow drone, DroneSpot takeoff and landing zones, and the proprietary FLYTE software.

Cargo to be transported is for Ziing Final Mile and Apple Express located in Leduc County, Alberta.

The venture will generate revenue for DDC over a 12-month term, including an upfront fee for the drone route deployed and a monthly fee for professional managed services.

This marks the first airport in Canada to establish fully operational commercial drone delivery services.

“We look forward to working with all parties to utilize our patented drone solution to deliver high-value goods within a regulated airspace,” stated Steve Magirias, CEO of Drone Delivery Canada. “This use case was the first-place winner of the AUVSI XCELLENCE Innovation award and further positions DDC as the clear leader in Canada for drone delivery solutions.”

Drone Delivery Canada is an award-winning drone technology company built on a proprietary logistics software platform.

Drone Delivery Canada (FLT) is up by 17.65 per cent trading at $0.60 per share as of 2:18 pm EST.
