Draganfly (CSE:DFLY) has signed a partnership with Enderby Entertainment to provide its Safe Set Solutions to the film and television industry.

Draganfly’s Safe Set Solutions technology uses ground-based symptom pre-screening, body temperature measurement and digitally-displayed social distancing to ensure the safety of on-set personnel.

It assists in identifying possible infectious or respiratory conditions without the need to collect personal data. Rather, the system is used to establish patterns and help production companies to react quicker and make more informed decisions should a risk present itself.

In addition to distributing the Safe Set Solutions, Enderby has also committed to the purchase of the technology for use with two productions scheduled for later this year: Firewatch and Legacy.

Cameron Chell, CEO of Draganfly, noted that while economies are starting to re-open, the struggle for many industries to do so safely and effectively remains complicated.

“Partnering with Enderby to bring Safe Set Solutions to the film industry is a significant step to help Hollywood and the global film industry safely ramp up production.

“Film industry investors, insurance companies, unions and guilds are all seeking this type of solution to protect their investments and keep workers safe,” he said.

While the current focus is set on the film and television industry, it’s thought that the technology may also be applied at airports, schools, shopping centres and other high traffic areas.

Rick Dugdale, President and CEO of Enderby Entertainment, said the industry is continuing to look at innovative ways to operate in a new normal of film production.

“With crews eager to get back to work, we are focused on employing the best resources on our sets to ensure the safest possible environment.

“Draganfly’s technology could offer a solution for our industry, allowing cast and crew back on set while giving them the peace of mind that we are adhering to CDC and other health organisation guidelines,” he added.

Draganfly (DFLY) is currently up 4.84 per cent and is trading at C$0.65 per share at 2:40pm EDT.
