District Metals Corp. (DMX) has provided updates on its Phase II drill program at its high-grade polymetallic Tomtebo Property in Sweden.

District Metals began the 5,000-metre program with two drill rigs in operation at the property on October 7.

A total of 1,030 metres has been drilled in the TOM21-023A/B, -024 and -025 holes.

Drill core samples from these first three holes have been sent to ALS Geochemistry in Malå, Sweden for assay preparation and then to Loughrea, Ireland for analysis. Results are expected by early December.

High-grade polymetallic mineralization was encountered at hole TOM21-025 which intersected 11 metres of massive sulphide mineralization from 211.4 to 22.4 metres at the Steffenburgz zone.

TOM21-025 was drilled 118-metre down plunge from TOM21-001 which returned 8.2 metres at 20.94 per cent zinc equivalent from 65.3 to 73.5 metres.

The use of zinc equivalent is to calculate cut-off grades for exploration purposes, and no adjustments were made for metal recovery.

Currently, hole TOM21-027 is being drilled 80-metre down plunge of the 11-metre massive sulphide intercept from TOM21-025.

TOM21-023B is designed to test a blind gravity high anomaly with coincident magnetic and conductive anomalies located one kilometre northeast along trend from the historic Tomtebo Mine.

The magnetic and gravity anomalies have been explained by the slightly magnetic dyke swarm and dense diorite/gabbro intrusions discovered with this drill hole.

TOM21-024 is designed to step out 40 metre down plunge from massive sulphides encountered in TOM21-001, which returned 8.2 m at 10.3 per cent Zn, 4.5per cent Pb, 66.2 g/t Ag, 1.7 g/t Au, and 0.08 per cent Cu at 65.3 to 73.5 metres.

Moderate to strong altered felsic rock with increasing pyrite, pyrrhotite and magnetite content was intersected between 92.55 to 210.4 meres highlighted by vein/stringer sulphides from 92.55 to 98.2 metres and disseminated to semi-massive sulphides from 109.2 to 113.8 metres.

The hole is drilled south of the northwest plunging massive sulphide lens in hole TOM21-001 and -025. A follow-up hole in this area is planned.

TOM21-025 is designed to step out 118 m down plunge from the massive sulphides encountered in hole TOM21-001.

Hole TOM21-025 represents the strongest and most extensive mineralization intersected at the historic Tomtebo Mine to date.

District Metals Corp. (DMX) is up 5.66 per cent and is trading at $0.28 per share at 2:06 p.m. ET.
