Diagnos (ADK) has launched its pathology detection systems in the retail clinics of Farmacias Benavides, a member of Walgreens Boots Alliance.

With the agreement between Diagnos and Farmacias Benavides being fresh as of May, Guillermo Moreno Robles, VO of Diagnos, spoke about the hard work being done.

“[We have already] permitted the training of 30 doctors and the successful completion of the first series of deployments of our pathology detection systems in seven retail clinics.”
“As we continue to work with Farmacias Benavides on the deployment of our systems […], the initial results make us confident that the recurring and continuously growing stream of revenue generated in this sector will yield strong financial benefits to our respective organizations”, concluded Moreno Robles.

Farmacias Benavides has taken a leadership position in retail clinics through increasing locations where doctors provide medical consultations.

People of Mexico can now access first-class medical care through their local community pharmacy with doctors.

The need for retail clinics was put forth after the pandemic and by a bill enacted by the Mexican health authorities that favoured the opening of retail clinics.

According to COFEPRIS, the government commission responsible for regulating health-related topics in Mexico, more than 10.6 million Mexicans can enjoy the benefits of this new ambulatory care environment each month.

Andr√© Larente, the President of Diagnos, hopes the partnership will increase the popularity of the company’s services, prompting people to hold good eye health to a high standard.
mentioned, “[As a company, we hope this] allows an increase in the popularity of our services, while raising awareness about the significant decline in quality of life at risk of occurring when annual eye exams are not conducted.”

Due to the accessibility of the system, “Our pathology screening services will now benefit from one of the greatest possible market accessibility in the world,” added Larente.

Farmacias Benavides is the market leader in retail sales of health and wellness products in Mexico. It has 104 years of experience and presence in more than 197 cities in 24 states.

The Walgreens Boots Alliance is an integrated healthcare, pharmacy and retail leader serving millions of customers and patients daily with around 13,000 locations across the U.S., Europe and Latin America.

DIAGNOS works on the early detection of critical health problems based on its FLAIRE Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform. FLAIRE allows for modifying and developing applications such as CARA (Computer Assisted Retina Analysis).

Diagnos Inc. (ADK) is up just under 5 per cent, trading at C$0.22 at 1:55 pm EST.
