A subsidiary of Coloured Ties Capital (TIE) is mobilizing to start a drill program on its lithium property in Quebec.

Quebec Pegmatite is has hired a contractor to mobilize exploration programs for the company’s Mazerac and Vieux Comptoir Projects in Quebec.

The Mazerac Project is made up of 108 contiguous claims around the Decelles Reservoir, around 50 kilometres southwest of Val-d’Or.

The property is immediately adjacent to claims currently held by other mineral exploration companies.

The company is planning to conduct airborne surveys as well as have an actual presence on the ground.

The property is believed to have a favourable geological setting for pegmatite style deposits. There are no catalogued mineral showings on the property and no previous exploration programs have been carried out on the property.

The Vieux Comptoir Lithium Property comprises 381 mineral exploration claims, which amount to 195 square kilometres.

“The Eeyou Istchee James Bay region is experiencing heightened staking activity based on its abundance of lithium-bearing pegmatites including four deposits with defined resources. Quebec Pegmatite acquired the projects in mid 2022, well before the staking rush of 2023. In addition, this region has recorded numerous recent discoveries including Corvette by Patriot Battery Metals just east of our projects underscoring the exploration potential of the area,” Quebec Pegmatite CEO Mike Stier said in a statement Friday.

“The Mazerac Region has also seen increased staking activity and recent work by other companies active in the area suggests prospects for lithium discoveries in the area. We believe both properties have excellent potential for the discovery of lithium-bearing pegmatites.”

Vancouver-based Coloured Ties Capital is a invests in early-stage commercial ventures and provides investee companies with capital market access and advisory services.

Coloured Ties Capital (TSXV:TIE) is unchanged, trading at $0.74 at 10:00 am ET.
