Colliers (CIGI) has announced the completion of its investment in Basalt Infrastructure Partners LLP.

Basalt is a leading transatlantic infrastructure investment management firm with more than $8.5 billion of assets under management.

The transaction, announced in January, will see Colliers acquire 75 per cent of Basalt from its founders and a significant third-party financial investor.

In addition, the transaction empowered the senior leadership team to retain 25 per cent of the equity and continue to lead the organization under Colliers’ partnership model.

Under the transaction terms, Basalt will admit four additional members of its senior leadership team to the partnership.

Colliers is a leading diversified professional services and investment management company with operations in 62 countries and 17,000 professionals who work collaboratively to provide expert real estate and investment advice to clients.

Basalt is the exclusive investment advisor to the Basalt funds, comprising Basalt I, Basalt II, and Basalt III.

The Basalt funds are infrastructure equity investment funds focusing on mid-market investments in utilities, power, transport, and communications infrastructure in North America and Europe.

Colliers International Group Inc. opened trading at $146.41 per share.
