Charbone Hydrogen Corporation (CH) is licensing GAUSSIN’s technology for the manufacturing of hydrogen vehicles in Canada.

The term sheet remains subject to executing a 20-year definitive license agreement between Gaussin and Charbone with a right to sublicense.

Charbone intends to sublicense the technology to a new joint-venture to be formed in Canada to deploy Gaussin’s zero-emission hydrogen vehicles and trailer movers.

Both companies, including OS-Orizon, will own 51 per cent, 39 per cent, and 10 per cent, respectively.

“With this new announcement of a strategic partnership with Gaussin, Charbone will provide sustainable solutions to its customers and reinforce the hydrogen ecosystem and green hydrogen to reduce the dependence on fossil fuels in the North American market,” said Dave Gagnon, CEO and Chairman of Charbone.

Charbone is a Canadian green hydrogen group established in North America. The company’s strategy is to develop modular and expandable hydrogen facilities and regional hubs.

Gaussin is an engineering company that designs, assembles and sells innovative products and services in the transport and logistics field.

Its know-how encompasses cargo and passenger transport, autonomous technologies allowing for self-driving solutions such as Automotive Guided Vehicles, and the integration of all types of batteries, particularly electric and hydrogen fuel cells.
