Cartier Resources Inc. (ECR) has launched the fourth phase of drilling at the Chimo Mine Project.

This program will use 2 drills over 13 months and consists of 25,000 metres of controlled directional drilling. The program aims at increasing the resources of the Chimo Mine.

The gold intersections discovered to date form the Chimo Mine Gold System is known to extend over 10 km along the Larder Lake – Cadillac fault. The current drilling program explores a 3.7 km segment peripheral to the underground infrastructures of the Chimo Mine.

The Chimo Mine Project is located 45 km east of the Val-d’Or Project and the Nordeau Ouest deposit and has the potential to discover new gold zones.

“Drilling will intersect 4 of the 19 targeted gold-bearing structures at approximately 100 different locations within the Chimo Mine Gold System, as well as additional structures that could reveal new gold-bearing zones,” Philippe Cloutier, CEO of Cartier commented.

Cartier Resources Inc. is an exploration company based in Val-d’Or, Québec. Its activities include the acquisition and exploration of mining properties in Canada. Some of the projects of the company are Chimo Mine, Benoist, Fenton, Wilson, Cadillac Extension, Dollier and MacCormack.

Shares of Cartier Resources (ECR) are trading steady at $0.10 as of 10:05 am ET.
