Canada Silver Cobalt (CCW) has intersected up to 6,188.43 g/t silver at its Castle East Property in Ontario.
High-grade silver and cobalt intercepts from the Big Silver Zone will contribute significantly to a Q1 2022 resource update.
The company is well-advanced in the permitting process for a ramp down to the high-grade deposit to conduct underground exploration, further expand the deposit and access high-grade bulk samples to process at its facility in Cobalt, Ontario.
It expects to complete baseline environmental studies by mid-year and file the permit application soon after.
The May 2020 NI 43-101 resource estimate identified an average silver grade of 8,582 g/t in 27,400 tonnes of material for 7.56 million inferred ounces.
“Big Silver is living up to its name with the latest intercept of 6,188 g/t silver, which has a gold equivalent of 74.67 g/t,” stated Matt Halliday, Canada Silver Cobalt’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “We are especially encouraged by the 36 m of total downdip extension; this type of continued expansion will be very important for our next resource update.”
