This week marks the 35th anniversary of the 1987 Wall Street crash.

A lifetime ago for some of us, feels like yesterday for others. On that day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 508 points, which was a crisis at the time, but seems to happen every other session nowadays.

Granted, the terms of trading are different now than in the days of “Miami Vice” and Robbie Nevil, but markets have seen rallies falter and winning streaks snapped by back-and-forth sessions on a more regular basis. One thing we do have in common with traders back then, is we’re still waiting for the volatility to calm down.

Biopharmaceutical company Theratechnologies Inc. (TSX:THForum) will be presenting data from tissue microarrays at the EORTC-NCI-AACR symposium in Barcelona, Spain.

The data shows high expression of SORT1, the target for its oncology platform for fighting several cancer types. It will be presented at a joint symposium of the European Organisation during October 26th to 28th, 2022, in Barcelona, Spain.

TH1902 has the potential to accumulate 7.5 to 10 times more docetaxel, a well-established cancer drug, in infected cells, compared to solitary treatments.

This drug candidate is currently in a phase one clinical trial, which includes a dose-escalating part to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics, maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and preliminary anti-tumour activity of TH1902. Cancers being studied include breast, ovarian, endometrial, melanoma, thyroid, small cell lung and prostate.

It has been another busy week for Datametrex AI Ltd. (TSXV:DMForum).

The technology firm announced a C$410,000 purchase order from Silicon Valley’s Bitnine Global.

Bitnine is a global leader in graph database business solutions that both improve outcomes and evolve with the existing marketplace. The client will incorporate Datametrex’s artificial intelligence services into its operations. The news follows a $1.6 million purchase order from Bitnine announced on October 14th.

Datametrex also received a $100,000 purchase order from an insurance company.

The order is for the Operating System Calibration Management and Monitoring System(SysMind), which is server automation operations solution software. MCV comes with fast mobile charging technology with a speed of over 45kwh with emergency charging and 24/7 on-demand EV services.

Meanwhile, its subsidiary, Datametrex Electric Vehicle Solutions, is working with the RV Association to offer its mobile EV services to the RV industry.

Due to the increase in Electric RVs and EV trucks, the RV Association is working to solve the electric vehicle charging issues in the parks and camping sites.

DM EVS is providing its electric vehicle charging solutions to the RV industry to solve the industry’s charging issues. DM EVS mobile charging solutions and the smart charger can provide maximized energy to multiple chargers at once in any space, including an RV park, and will solve RV charging issues outdoors.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD , Forum) will officially inaugurate its newest state-of-the-art service centre in the U.S.

Located at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, Bombardier’s Leadership team and more will be invited to attend the ceremony on Halloween in Miami.

Once fully operational, the new 300,000-square-foot facility will quadruple Bombardier’s current maintenance footprint in Florida. The service centre at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (OPF) is close to Miami’s bustling business district.

The new facility will be fully equipped to perform extensive and complete full-service scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance, including paint enhancement services, to help reduce aircraft downtime.

Bombardier is also hiring additional maintenance technicians across its entire service network to support its recent expansions.

Over the decades, Bombardier has ridden the extreme choppiness of volatility, both on the markets’ side, but also within its own headquarters. By 1987, the company was growing its railway acquisitions as it transitioned out of the locomotive business. Now it is planning to use sustainable aviation fuel heading into next year, which is probably less of a wait than for volatility to ease.
