Brookfield Infrastructure (BIP.UN) announced that it has agreed to sell $600 million of medium-term notes.

The company will issue $400 million of Series 9 Notes, due April 25, 2034, bearing interest of 5.439 per cent per annum and $200 million of Series 10 Notes, due April 25, 2052, bearing interest of 5.789 per cent per annum.

Brookfield Infrastructure subsidiary Brookfield Infrastructure Finance ULC will be the recipient of the net proceeds and have primary responsibility for the payment of principal and interest on the notes. The notes will be fully guaranteed by Brookfield Infrastructure.

Brookfield Infrastructure intends to use the net proceeds to fund an active pipeline of investment opportunities and for general working capital purposes. 

The notes are being offered through a syndicate of agents led by RBC Capital Markets, BMO Capital Markets, CIBC Capital Markets, Scotiabank and TD Securities.

Brookfield Infrastructure is a global infrastructure company that owns and operates assets in the utilities, transport, midstream and data sectors across North and South America, Asia Pacific and Europe.

Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN) opened trading at C$84.14 per share.
