Michael Emrick has been appointed as California territory manager for Bee Vectoring Technologies (BEE).

The appointment allows Bee Vectoring Technologies to fast-track its expansion into the Californian market.

Mr. Emrick brings extensive agricultural experience and important crop and pest control certifications that position him well to lead the company’s commercialization and sales growth in California.

“It’s getting harder and harder for growers to get ahead, especially here in California where we have a number of environmental issues and increasing regulations,” said Mr. Emrick. “BVT, with its natural precision agriculture system, offers a sustainable solution that will help them thrive in the changing market conditions.”

California’s diverse crops of strawberries, blueberries, caneberries, and almonds makes the state an ideal target for BVT’s growing portfolio. It represents over a third of vegetable and two thirds of fruit and nut production in the United States and exports over $20 billion worth of crops per year.

“I see a clear fit and big opportunities for BVT here in California,” continued Mr. Emrick. “It will help growers with sustainable farming practices, and improve their crop operations through better disease management and improved yields.”

Ashish Malik, CEO of Bee Vectoring Technologies, commented on Mr. Emrick’s appointment.

“The addition of Michael Emrick to our team, as a dedicated sales professional, is a significant step forward in pursuing the enormous opportunity that California represents that will further accelerate our revenue growth in this market,” he remarked, adding, “Michael will introduce BVT technology throughout the state and pursue contracts with new growers for the next season, focusing on prominent early adopters who are influencers in their communities.”

BVT is an agricultural technology company in the crop protection and fertilizer market.

The company’s natural precision agriculture system replaces chemical pesticides and wasteful plant spray applications by using biological pesticide alternatives to crops using commercially grown bees.

Bee Vectoring Technologies International (BEE) is up 1.52 per cent on the day, trading at $0.335 per share as of 10:31 am ET.
