Ayr Wellness (AYR.A) completed its first sale from its Phoenix, Arizona cultivation facility in tandem with the launch of its STiX Pre-Roll Co. brand.

The 80,000 square foot cultivation facility has been able to yield 75 grams of cannabis per square foot from 22 different strains.

The company is expecting increases in yields, THC percentages, and terpene percentages in its upcoming harvests.

“Sales from our new Arizona cultivation marks a key operational milestone for Ayr, increasing our capacity of high-quality flower in the state,” Jonathan Sandelman, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Ayr, said.

“Having great flower will be crucial to distinguishing our Kynd brand throughout the state, while also allowing us to unveil new offerings like STiX, which represents one of the fastest growing form factors in the market, per BDSA. We’ve been very impressed with the quality of the flower and yields coming out of the facility, a credit to our cultivation team.”

In other news, the pre-rolled STiX brand launched with two primary SKUs, Walking STiX Pre-Roll and BoomSTiX Infused Pre-Roll.

STiX will be exclusively offered in Ayr’s three Oasis Cannabis locations. The company expects to start sales to third party retail locations in the near future.

Ayr Wellness Inc. (AYR.A) is down 4.06 per cent trading at $6.14 per share as of 3:19 p.m. ET.
