Auxly (XLY) achieved the number one market share position for cannabis 2.0 products last year, according to Headset Canadian Insights data.

2020 was the first full year for the sale of cannabis 2.0 products for the consumer packaged goods company. Cannabis 2.0 products typically consist of vapes, edibles, beverages, extracts and topicals.

The company said despite not participating in every 2.0 category, it’s 19.2 per cent share of the total vape market and 12 per cent share of the total edibles market propelled Auxly to the number one spot in overall 2.0 sales for the year.

In a press release, Auxly said it saw robust sales growth quarter over quarter, especially in its vape product offering – the largest 2.0 category – securing 23 per cent of the national vape market share in the fourth quarter.

Auxly CEO Hugo Alves said the company is extremely proud to be the number one licensed producer for cannabis 2.0 in Canada.

“Our commitment to delivering high-quality, differentiated and innovative cannabis products has clearly struck a chord with Canadians and our entire team remains highly motivated to continue our growth trajectory as we start a new year,” Alves said.

Looking ahead to 2021, the company said it plans to focus its efforts on innovation and executional excellence as it solidifies its national footprint with its consumer brands which include Back Forty, Dosecann, Foray, Kolab Project and Robinsons.
