- Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX) receives results from the QF Zone on the Perron Property
- Copper sample values were between two and five per cent
- Zinc and high-grade gold were also recorded from the discovery
- The company is pleased with these results as it resembles percentages similar to the neighbouring/ past-producing Normétal Mine
- Additional drilling will be needed to close informational gaps on the zone
- Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX) is up 2.56 per cent trading at $2.00 per share as of 12:01 p.m. ET
Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX) has received follow-up assay results from the copper dense QF Zone on the Perron Property.
Some of the results produced modest amounts of copper sitting around 2.00 per cent, while other samples showed prospective results of 4.00 per cent of copper equivalent and above. There were other trace amounts of zinc also recorded, as well as high grades of gold be
According to Amex Exploration, the grades compare favourably to the neighbouring Normétal Mine which in the past produced approximately 10.1 million tonnes of feed grading 2.24 per cent copper, 5.41 per cent zinc, 0.53 grams of gold per tonne, and 44.45 grams of silver per tonne with development down to a depth of approximately 2.40 km.
The company believes these results illustrate the value and richness of the QF Zone which is showing hopeful signs of mineralization extending beyond what has been tested so far. It also stated the gaps of intercepts and anomalies between the surface and the tested 600 metre level may simply be due to the absence of drilling in this area.
“Additionally, the QF [zone] is still open in all directions and additional work including more borehole geophysics and drilling will be needed to fully evaluate the real potential of this [QF] discovery at Normétal,” Jacques Trottier, Executive Chairman of Amex Exploration, said.
