Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX) has announced assay results from 31 additional drill holes at the High-Grade Zone on the Perron Project.

Results included 102.07 g/t gold over 6.10 metres, drilled at the deeper eastern High-Grade Zone. At the shallower western High-Grade Zone, drilling intersected 84.02 g/t gold over 5.60 metres.

Drilling so far has focused on expanding and defining the High-Grade Zone as the company works toward its maiden resource on the Perron Project.

The Perron gold project is comprised of 117 claims covering over 4,500 hectares in Quebec.

Several significant gold discoveries have been made at Perron, including the Eastern Gold Zone, the Gratien Gold Zone, the Grey Cat Zone, and the Central Polymetallic Zone.

Jacques Trottier, Executive Chairman of Amex, commented on the latest results.

“I am very excited with today’s results for several reasons,” he said. “Firstly, we have drilled the highest grade hole at depth to date.”

“In addition to this very high-grade drill hole,” he added, “our shallower drilling on the Western portion of the HGZ has significantly expanded the ‘bonanza’ area of the HGZ proving the super high grade core is continuous.”

“The HGZ is becoming one of the richest single gold zones of all the Canadian Archean orogenic gold deposits ever discovered,” continued Mr. Trottier. “Almost every hole we drill confirms expansion, both laterally and vertically, and significantly increases its overall grade and gold content per vertical meter.”

In addition to these results, Amex is awaiting results on over 17,359 samples from holes targeting the HGZ and Denise Zone, as well as regional exploration drilling.

Amex Exploration is a mining exploration company focused on developing viable gold and base metals deposits in mining-friendly jurisdictions.

Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX) is currently up 0.81 per cent, trading at $2.50 per share as of 11:06 am ET.
