American Lithium Corp. (LI) has confirmed 99.40 per cent pure lithium carbonate precipitation during mineralization test work on its TLC Project.

The Tonopah Lithium Claims Project (TLC) is in Nevada.

According to the company, sulfuric acid leaching of claystone mineralization achieved a 97.70 per cent lithium extraction with a two-hour leach time. The overall lithium recovery was about 88.10 per cent from leach through primary lithium carbonate precipitation.

The lithium carbonate product still requires an additional process step in the flowsheet to remove remaining impurities to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate or lithium hydroxide.

This test work was done to support a maiden preliminary economic assessment for the TLC project, which is in the final phase of completion and expected to be released shortly.

The company also shared that it has signed an agreement with unnamed arms-length vendors to acquire a holding company which controls a series of eight mining claims which border the TLC Project. America Lithium has agreed to issue 200,000 of its common shares to the vendors.

American Lithium Corp. (LI) is up 11.78 per cent and is trading at $3.70 per share as of 2:32 p.m. EST.
