American Aires (WIFI) will study how its Lifetune tech can protect honey bees from electromagnetic fields.

The company’s Lifetune products mitigate electromagnetic radiation from data-transmitting electronics.

The study will be open to small-scale commercial and hobbyist beekeepers in the U.S. and Canada.

According to the Pavlov Institute of Physiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, long-term exposure to electromagnetic fields may cause environmental stressors for the bees, impacting cognitive and motor abilities, reducing their ability to learn, altering flight dynamics, as well as reducing the success of foraging flights, feeding and reproduction.

The results seek to validate the company’s previous laboratory studies showing the effectiveness of Lifetune technology in reducing the effects of EMF exposure on honey bees.

Josh Bruni, American Aires’ Chief Revenue Officer, stated,

“Beekeepers are in an ideal position to provide valuable, first-hand observations about the health of their colonies and the effect of this environmental stressor. The data that beekeepers will contribute is expected to be an immensely useful addition to our research. Moreover, their findings could lead to further product innovation and additional improvements in EMF protection for affected species such as honey bees.

We are thrilled to build on our previous work with honey bees where we will be able to positively contribute to an industry that is experiencing an increasing number of environmental challenges. This move also hints at the multitude of non-consumer applications that our technology has, and is the start of that expansion into these new and innovative channels of business.”

American Aires is a nanotechnology company that develops silicon-based microprocessors that reduce the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation.

American Aires (WIFI) is down by 7.69 per cent trading at $0.06 per share as of 9:30 am ET.
