AIS Resources (AIS) has acquired 20 per cent of an Incahuasi Salar lithium mine from Tech One Lithium.
The 20 per cent interest is tied to 3 sq km on the Incahuasi Salar in Argentina’s lithium triangle.
The area neighbours Gangfeng Lithium, China’s largest producer of battery metal.
Tech One has optioned its exploration license for 12 months to complete due diligence and further exploration work. It also has the right to acquire 100 per cent of the property for US$1 million or C$ 1.3 million.
Tech One has appointed AIS as its operator and exploration team. AIS’s technical team has already outlined a one-year exploration plan for the property.
Tech One can acquire the 20 per cent held by AIS by paying US$6 million if the resource estimate is 45,000 tonnes of lithium metal equivalent or higher. This increases by US$250,000 for each increment of 5,000 tonnes.
AIS Resources is focused on precious and base metals exploration, most recently in Australia and Argentina.
AIS Resources (AIS) is trading flat at C$0.08 per share as of 3:02 pm ET.
