AirBoss of America’s (BOS) AirBoss Defense Group (ADG) has won additional contracts, worth approximately C$29 million.

The recently awarded contracts come from a variety of military and government clients all over the world. The awards call specifically for the provision of technologies and services from ADG’s survivability portfolio.

Out of approximately $29 million, roughly $8.49 million is for molded glove and overboot awards from the United Arab Emirates.

The Egyptian military is paying approximately $7.69 million for orders of ADG’s Husky ground-penetrating radar and other accessories. The Husky is a vehicle platform which deploys a range of radar and sensor systems for countermine and non-conventional explosive detection.

ADG has also received an award of roughly $2.78 million from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, a unit of the US Army Europe. The award is for a Rollover Detection Warning System (RDWS), which advises the user of impending vehicle rollover conditions.

The contracts also include various smaller orders from other groups in the United States. These smaller orders are mainly for chemical and biological personal protective equipment, including mass casualty decontamination shelter systems and Powered Air Purifying Respirator products.

AirBoss’ President and Chief Operating Officer, Chris Bitsakakis, commented on the recent additional contracts for ADG.

“ADG, which has been very active in the ongoing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, offers domestic and international customers a range of survivability solutions across the CBRN-E spectrum for both first response and military applications.

“These latest contracts largely reflect the regular contribution from predominantly military and government customers as part of their overall defense and preparedness strategies, independent of their ongoing COVID-19 response,” he said.

The company expects to begin delivering on these contracts in 2020’s fourth quarter, and throughout the following 24 months.

AirBoss of America (BOS) is down 0.73 per cent and is currently trading at $19.00 per share at 12:08pm EDT.
