Advance Gold (AAX) has announced drilling results from its 100 per cent-owned Tabasquena Polymetallic Project in Mexico.

Key results from the drilling include 0.634 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 7.97 per cent zinc over 0.20 metres and 0.143 g/t gold. The company also intersected 8.79 per cent zinc over 0.55 metres.

The latest results now mean the company has drilled 23 holes to date at the Tabasquena property in addition to finding a highly prospective mineralized corridor spanning 2,500 metres by 500 metres with widespread gold, silver and zinc mineralization.

“We believe that there is a feeder system at depth causing this widespread mineralization. To better understand this system and its depth potential we plan to do more geophysics, mapping and petrographic studies before doing additional drilling,” Allan Barry Laboucan, president and CEO of Advance Gold Corp, said in release.

Laboucan said the company is also moving forward with drilling programs on its own lithium project, which have high-grade lithium-potassium-boron at surface.

Based out of Kamloops, BC, Advance Gold is a junior exploration company focused on acquiring and exploring mineral properties with precious metals, battery metals and fertilizer minerals.

The company acquired its 100 per cent interest in the Tabasquena silver mine in 2017 as well as the Vendaditas project in 2018, both of which are in the Zacatecas state in Mexico.

Shares of the company were up 6.25 per cent to C$0.085 as of 9:30 a.m. EDT.
