Battery Mineral Resources (BMR) has received more results from ongoing exploration at the Punitaqui mine complex.

Punitaqui, located in Chile, is a past-producing copper mine. Battery Mineral Resources is developing the mine to potentially resume copper-gold production by mid-2022.

The company continues to advance its 2021 exploration and infill drill program at the mine and has announced assay results from five additional drill holes.

Results are encouraging, and include highlights from the San Andres target such as 2.10 per cent copper over 3.4 metres, 1.39 per cent copper over 11 metres, and 1.39 per cent copper over 5.25 metres.

Currently, three drills are operating on-site with a fourth drill rig expected to be deployed shortly.

Martin Kostuik, CEO of Battery Mineral Resources, commented,

“Encouraging assays like the newly reported SAS-21-04 of 16.7 meters of 1.37 percent copper provide early confidence in the potential of Punitaqui and the impetus we need to not just continue, but also expand the scope and budget of our current drilling program.”

The San Andres drill program is designed to confirm resources identified by previous drilling programs and expand these resources north and south along strike, and also extend mineralization at depth.

“We look forward to providing further exciting updates for the drill program in the coming weeks,” added Mr. Kostuik.

Battery Mineral Resources is a battery mineral company with high-quality assets, providing shareholders with exposure to the global mega-trend of electrification.

The company is engaged in the discovery, acquisition, and development of battery metals in North and South America and South Korea with the intention of becoming a premier and sustainable supplier of battery minerals.

Battery Mineral Resources (BMR) is currently down 1.56 per cent, trading at $0.63 per share as of 10:26 am ET.
