C3 Metals Corp. (CCCM) has identified significant zones of high-grade copper and gold assays at its Jasperoide Project in Peru.

Results from the core resampling program confirmed both the successful verification of, and significant copper intercepts in, all seven holes drilled.

Highlights included two standout holes which showed significant zones of high-grade copper and gold assays

One hole returned 2.96 per cent of copper and 0.70 grams of gold per tonne from 24 metres drilled.

The second returned 2.76 per cent of copper and 0.67 grams of gold per tonne from 24 metres drilled.

The drilling program was initiated to confirm the distribution and tenor of the skarn hosted copper-gold mineralization and to verify results for future resource calculations.

C3 Metals will start drilling program as soon as the drill camp has been completed, which is well underway.

The upcoming program comprises an initial 3,500 metres in approximately 15-20 holes of 100-250 metres depth, nominally on 50 metres centres and is designed to demonstrate lateral and vertical continuity of the high-grade copper-gold mineralization.

“This resampling programme is the first step towards determining the ultimate size and grade of Jasperoide. The drill intercepts very closely replicate previous results giving us confidence in using historic drilling data to guide the forthcoming drilling programme,” said C3 Metals (CCCM) CEO Kevin Tomlinson

“Jasperoide is an exciting project that has the scope for both high grades and size. I believe copper investors and market analysts will follow our progress closely as Jasperoide is a unique asset to be in the hands of a junior company,” he added.

Located in southern Peru, the Jasperoide property is the company’s flagship property.

Shares in C3 Metals are up 3.3 per cent and are trading at C$0.16 per share at 11:18am EST.
